2013 LAKE ERIE SPEEDWAY LEGENDS LINE UP PROCEDURES

Scenario 1: 1-32 Legends Cars (No Split all cars will run)

1. When Lake Erie Speedway has 1-32 cars there will be European/group style qualifying in a final practice round.

2. Legends cars will be sent out for a final practice 5-6 cars at a time based on your U.S. Legends Car International division (Young Lion, Semi Pro, Pro, Master). After you qualify we will take your best lap time.

3. Qualifying results will be put in order based on your best lap time in that final practice.

4. The qualifying results will set the heat race line ups (Ex. Fast qualifier will start in 1st place for the 1st heat race, 2nd fastest qualifier will start 1st in the 2nd heat race, 3rd fastest qualifier will start 1st in the 3rd heat so on and so forth).

5. During the opening ceremonies there will be a sponsored invert game on the front stretch in front of the crowd for the feature event starting lineup. The number of cars we invert will be based on the number of cars. For example, if there are three heat races the possible inverts would be 6 or 12. The other possible inverts depending on car count could be 8 or 10.

Scenario 2: 33 + Legends Cars (Optional vote to Split)

1. If the Legends competitors vote to split the field Lake Erie Speedway will divide the Legends division into Young Lions/Semi Pro and Pro/Masters.

2. After the split each group will draw pills for their separate heats races (Ex. If there are 40 cars and the split is 25 Young Lions/Semi Pro cars they will run three heat races, 15 Pro/Master cars would have two heat races. This would give us the opportunity to make heat races smaller.)

 3. During the opening ceremonies there will be a sponsored invert game on the front stretch in front of the crowd for each feature event starting lineup. The number of cars we invert will be based on the number of cars. For example, if there are three heat races the possible inverts would be 6 or 12.  The other possible inverts depending on car count could be 8 or 10.

*When voting to split the field or not to split the field each Legends competitor will get one poker chip to place in a bucket. One bucket will be for a split field and the other bucket will be for not splitting the field.

**The results of the vote will be determined based on the majority (not unanimous)

***Lake Erie Speedway reserves the right to institute a mandatory split

Scenario 3: 33+ Legends Cars (Optional vote to not split)

1. When Lake Erie Speedway has 33+ cars and there is a vote to NOT split the field there will be European/group style qualifying during a final practice round.

2. Legends cars will be sent out for a final practice 5-6 cars at a time based on their U.S.

5. The top 24 finishers of the heat races will be locked into the feature event.

6. All other competitors that are not locked in will compete in a 12 lap B-Main/Consolation race event for the remaining eight (8) starting spots in the feature event.

8. Feature points will be on the 50 point scale dropping two (2) points per position until 10 points.

9. All positions after 21st place each driver will receive 10 Lake Erie Speedway points even if the competitor did not make the feature event.

10. The competitors that do not make the feature event will receive $30 for attempting to qualify.
